Empire Innovation Kibarani Venture is an agribusiness and agricultural technology enterprise based in Makueni County, Kenya. Our business focuses on developing, fabricating, and providing affordable locally manufactured agricultural machinery and post-harvest technologies that help smallholder farmers reduce labour, improve productivity, minimize post-harvest losses, and increase the value of their farm produce.
We design and fabricate agricultural machines using locally available materials and skills, making our technologies more affordable and accessible to farmers compared with many imported machines. We also provide machinery services, farmer training, aggregation, and technical support to ensure that farmers can effectively use the technologies.
Our main products include multipurpose crop threshers, which are designed for efficient threshing of crops such as green grams, maize, wheat, sorghum, millet, and cowpeas. The machines use a chain-based threshing mechanism and interchangeable sieves, allowing them to handle different crops while improving threshing efficiency and reducing grain damage and labour requirements.
We also manufacture animal feed choppers, which help livestock farmers process fodder and crop residues into manageable sizes for feeding. This improves feed preparation, reduces wastage, and saves farmers time and labour.
Another key product is our modern grain and agricultural produce dryer system, which is designed to improve post-harvest drying and reduce losses caused by inadequate or slow drying. The system provides controlled drying conditions to help farmers achieve safer moisture levels and improve the quality and storage life of their produce.
In addition, we are developing energy-efficient agricultural technologies, including solar-powered incubation solutions, to support poultry farmers with reliable and affordable production systems.
Our revenue comes from the sale of agricultural machinery, machinery rental and threshing services, fabrication and technical services, farmer training, aggregation of agricultural produce, and related support services. We reach customers through direct sales, demonstrations, agricultural exhibitions, farmer groups, cooperatives, partnerships with NGOs and development organizations, and referrals.
Our target customers are primarily smallholder farmers, farmer groups and cooperatives, livestock farmers, youth and women agripreneurs, aggregators, and other agricultural value-chain actors. Through our business, we aim to make mechanization and post-harvest technologies more accessible while creating employment opportunities and supporting sustainable agricultural development in Kenya and across Africa.
